Testimonials

Peter not only provided me with various resources and approaches but also brought diverse perspectives into our discussions. Each meeting placed one more missing piece in the puzzle of my understanding – the process was illuminating! Step by step Peter has helped me feel more confident in the  “why-how-what” of my work. I think this is very much related to the Stoic framework he uses in his coaching. Thank you Peter! (B.Gemuz)

When working with a frustrated client became activating for me, I knew that it would be useful to gain some perspective. Peter helped me find clarity about the situation and my role in it. We (Peter and I) were able to develop a plan that made me feel comfortable and confident. This allowed me to meet the client where he was, and open up a healthier pattern of communication for both of us. (E. Szylejko)

Working with Peter has helped me to zoom out, become more self-aware, and solve challenging problems — while navigating the leadership challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of our work I am increasingly able to stay centered and strategic in challenging interpersonal situations, rather than reacting from a place of emotion. As a result, I am more confident in my decisions and more effective with my colleagues and my clients. (B. Hunter)

I have so enjoyed working with Peter, and highly recommend his work. He is the rare professional that comes from a deeply held set of values and principles and also brings amazing experience, tools, and skills to helping leaders get better. His focus is on taking a practical, behavioral approach to emotional intelligence to help clients develop leadership resilience, create alignment and belonging on their teams, and and enable high performance. He can work with any leader in any industry in my opinion, but his focus is on knowledge industries including higher education and technology firms. I’ve seen him in action, and he is an insightful coach that helps clients see new possibilities while dealing with extremely challenging issues. He is patient, listens well, and brings a grounded presence to his work that is much needed with all of the volatility that leaders face. (A. Neitlich)

Working with Peter allowed me to step back and review how and why I chose to move into a leadership role, and more specifically how I communicate in that role. I was able to gain some fresh insights on my leadership tools and style.  I’ve already noticed a positive response from those I work with and I’ve gained more confidence in my own leadership.  Thank you Peter! (J. Daniels)

I am thankful to Peter who is an effective executive coach. Peter is extremely skilled in equipping other leaders to succeed through Emotional Intelligence. He provided me value-added insights. Throughout the process, Peter was extremely professional, respectful, and empathetic. I felt genuinely affirmed but challenged – this created the true relationship between coach and individuals. (P. Shah)

Peter is an insightful coach focused on a person-centric approach. … I appreciate his ability to ask questions that get at the heart of the matter at hand. Peter is extremely supportive. He also challenges his clients to lean into discomfort so that they can grow their self-awareness… I have worked with Peter to pursue a 360 for myself, 180s for my direct reports, and action plans for all. Peter was able to read across the results to identify culture-wide strengths and areas of growth for me to consider as an organizational leader. We continue to explore what partnerships might help my organizational culture. (A. Bélanger)

Peter is an intuitive and charismatic Executive Coach. Clients with an opportunity to partner with him will experience how his coaching unlocks and breaks down barriers to genuinely shift their mindset beyond the problem at hand to true solutions that drive for results. I recommend Peter to any leader that wants to work through a problem and focus on outcomes and a path forward. (J. Oliver)

Why is it that the simplest things are sometimes s Why is it that the simplest things are sometimes so hard?

“Vous vous plaignez de voir les rosiers épineux;

Moi je me réjouis et rends grâces aux dieux

Que les épines aient des roses.”

I love this quote by the French critic Alphonse Karr (from Voyage autour de mon jardin (1845)) ... who among other things was a floriculturist. When you see a rose, do you see the thorns? The flower? Or the whole rose, which encompasses both, and is wholly beautiful?

Awareness in #emotionalintelligence training is not about hyper-focus, it's about a holistic perception and the choice to focus on a particular thing from a specific viewpoint, all within context. That's partly why I use Genos North America EI assessments, which are context-rich.

This ability to be contextually aware and to focus from a specific perspective is simple but sometimes hard to do. Like all skills, it gets better with #practice and is much easier with a partner - #coachingworks. Are you focusing so much on thorns you can't see the rose anymore (#problemfocused)? Or focusing too much on the rose when others are getting stabbed by thorns (#toxicpositivity)?
